The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles

Despite the bombastic name and the thoughts of 'I'm about more than just getting rich', I put my predispositions aside and listened to the CD of this book in my car during my road-trip to CA 3 weeks ago.

The book was probably the best I have listened to on the subject of abundance and creating affluence. The main points in the book:

• There is an intelligent, formless substance that permeates the entire universe
• A thought impressed upon this substance produces the image carried by the thought
• Man and Woman can shape material destiny by impressing deep (ego-less) thought (desire) upon the formless substance
• By focusing on EXACTLY what our deep, driving desire (thought) is, we manifest it in the material world
• Massive, efficient, directed action allows us to receive the material manifestation of thought on formless substance
• We need to stay in the creative plane -- there is plenty of abundance available to all
• There is no need to compete -- the competitive plane is one of devolution, not evolution
  
• In spare time, it is important to visualize EXACTLYwhat one desires, down to the last detail
• Thank the Divine/Brahman/Providence/God/Allah/Krishna/Jesus/Ahura Mazda every day for the abundance you seek AS IF YOU ALREADY POSSESS IT!
  

I have been visualizing my desires in the past 3 weeks and it feels great. I am confident my dreams of abundance -- material, intellectual, physical and spiritual -- will absolutely manifest!
